Roberto Morales is an incredibly talented and soulful solid body electric lead and rhythm guitarist. Also proficient in classical and electro-acoustical guitars. He has a remarkable sound and technique that will truly delight any listener. Furthermore, he is a skilled composer, creating captivating guitar lines, heart-moving solos, and exceptional accompaniments.

From his early childhood, Roberto’s love for the guitar was evident, as he took lessons and performed in classical guitar recitals and concerts. As a teenager, he delved into the world of rock, becoming an autodidact rock guitarist and performing with various heavy metal and classic rock bands.

Roberto’s dedication to his craft is unwavering, as he spends countless hours practicing and honing his guitar abilities and sound. His motivation and tremendous work ethic makes him a truly exceptional artist. His diverse musical repertoire includes Classical Guitar, Rock, Heavy Metal, Blues, Nova Trova, Top 40s, Pop, Ballads, and Jazz. Continually fine-tuning his talents, Roberto has focused on acoustic guitar, songwriting, and singing while maintaining his electric guitar prowess in shredding and soloing.

His musical foundation was built at the Academia de Música Cruz in Bayamón, Puerto Rico where he studied Music Theory and Guitar from 1977 to 1983 under the guidance of influential teachers such as José González (Criollísimo), Roberto Alcaraz, and Jorge Camacho (Rondalla de PR). Additionally, Roberto has participated in several Berkeley in Puerto Rico Summer Workshops at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico, as well as attending Master Classes with renowned musicians such as Carlos Barbosa Lima and Ivan Rijos at the University of Puerto Rico.

While pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree, Roberto’s passion for music led him to embrace the Nova Trova genre. He continued to excel in both classical and solid body electric guitar, performing in bars and music venues.

Roberto’s musical journey encompasses BOHITE, a captivating ensemble known for their original and covers in Nova Trova genre. Performing music by acclaimed artists such as Silvio Rodriguez, Roy Brown, and Andres Jimenez, BOHITE established a dedicated following. Their steady gigs include performances at Las Tablas in Mayagüez and Galloway’s in Cabo Rojo.

After graduating, he got back to study at the University of Puerto Rico Music Department, graduating in 2001. During this time, he had the privilege of studying under the renowned classical guitar virtuoso, Juan Sorroche.

In 2000, Roberto founded the rock band, Sinrodeos, which gained recognition through contract performances with esteemed beer manufacturers/distributors such as Heineken, Budweiser, Coors, and Medalla, as well as direct contract shows with club owners. As the musical and administrative director and guitarist for SINRODEOS, Roberto brought their covers rock band to life, performing music from esteemed artists such as Mana, Cranberries, Alanis Morissete, Shakira, Enanitos Verdes, and many more. Their steady gigs included El Criollo in Guaynabo, Momentos Lo Diferente in Barranquitas, Coco Agua in Puerto Nuevo, San Juan, Lupi’s in Isla Verde, Carolina, Bennigan’s in Condado, San Juan, The Arena Pier 10 in Old San Juan, Chilli’s in Bayamon and Condado, Palike in Levittown, Toa Baja, Dakiti in Old San Juan, La Ceiba in Quebradillas, TGI Friday’s in Carolina, Coaches in Hato Rey, San Juan, B&B in Hato Rey, San Juan, El Mirador in Cayey, and many others.

Roberto has had the pleasure of performing with other several notable bands, including original rock band HOUSEINPR, CASAROAN, a covers rock band performing in many music venues.
